Trunk flexion exercise apparatus i.e. isolation mechanism for user's abdominal muscles

The isolation mechanism includes a support bracket for the leg, ankle and/or foot and a frame to support the bracket. A resistance mechanism (3,5), coupled to the frame, supplies resistance against forces applied to the bracket and contracts the user's knee flexor and hip extensor muscles, isolating the user's abdominal muscles. An adjustment point (4) coupled to the frame, adjusts the position of the support bracket to accommodate different users and body movement during the exercise.
