A car has: - at least one gearbox device with a continuously variable gear ratio; and - at least one hydraulic device for the control of the gear ratio changes and to hold a ratio. This hydraulic device has a valve device that has at least one connection to control a gear ratio change and at least one connection to hold a gear ratio. The car also has least two disc pairs, especially two cone disc pairs for accommodating a belt device, of which at least one has at least two relatively movable (especially in an axial direction) discs. The arrangement made up of cone disc pairs can be acted upon hydraulically by a hydraulic device and this hydraulic device has at least one supply line via which at least one cone disc can be acted upon hydraulically.
