Acid recovery from metal-containing solution, using jet scrubbers for dust and acid vapor removal from pyrolytic decomposition reactor off-gas, is new. Acids are recovered from their metal-containing solutions by evaporation and pyrolytic decomposition into acids and metal oxides in a reactor, the off-gas of which is passed through jet scrubbers for simultaneous dust and acid vapor removal. An independent claim is also included for a plant for carrying out the above process, comprising a reactor (1) followed by two or more jet scrubbers (6, 13).
