The single use container is designed to be connected to another container. It has an closure (16) that is adapted to hermetically seal an opening that is formed by a rigid annular ring (14) for connection to the other container. The assembly comprising of the closure and ring is contained inside a sealed envelope (28). The interior surface of the envelope is sterile before it is opened or destroyed.
