Intra-ocular lenses having an optical part made of flexible transparent material with an opaque transition at 0 - 35 deg C. Intra-ocular lens with an optical part and a mounting part in one or more pieces, at least the optical part being fabricated from a flexible transparent material which has an opaque transition at a transition temperature of between 0 and 35 deg C to form a protective screen for the retina during a determined period of time during the transition from opacity to transparency.
