The alternator (3) is driven by an internal combustion engine (2), and delivers power through a rectifier to an electric motor (6). The generator has a controller (4) and an electronic supervisory system (5) controlling the entire system. The speed of the internal combustion engine is regulated by measuring power delivered by the alternator so it matches the power demanded by the load.
