The safety device is composed of a hollow metal bar (1) with a rounded top, a knotted traction cord (4), a flat hook (5) and a return cord (6). Four runner carriers (2) sliding on the bar and each carrying a rubber pad (3) rotate freely on a spindle. The flat hook is provided with two top and bottom rings which are engaged in the leg of the shutter upper strap hinge so as to lift it using the traction cord.
