The collection box is mounted within a sewage discharge system via inlet and outlet ports (40,42). Sidewalls (34) define an interior space within the box that has an inclined lower surface such that particulates are naturally collected under the action of gravity. The residue collect under an evacuation port (44) such that the residue can be removed from the collection box by a suitable suction device. An Independent claim is included for a sewage discharge system.
