PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multifunction mouse device having functions of Japanese- language input on/off and of the display of a trace where the mouse moves after resume with the mouse and to provide an information processing method in the multifunction mouse device. ;SOLUTION: This mouse 14 has a let button 28 which can perform Japanese- language input on/off and a 2nd button 30 which performs a function displaying a trace from the position of the mouse 14 before suspend to the position of the mouse 14 after resume. It is possible to perform Japanese-language input on/off by pressing down the 1st button without depending on keyboard input. Also, the coordinates values of the mouse 14 are recorded in a hard disk 40 by a coordinates values recording/displaying application 38 in a suspend mode, and the trace between the coordinates values of the mouse 14 recorded in the hard disk 40 and the coordinates values of the mouse 14 that move after resume is linearly displayed if the 2nd button 30 is pressed down after the resume.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
