PURPOSE: To continuously remote refrigerating cold of a low temperature by enhancing a pressure of operating hydrogen when the cold of metal hydride is generated. ;CONSTITUTION: Two sets of metal hydride containing vessels in which three types of metal hydrides of MH1, MH2, MH3 of lower equilibrated hydrogen pressures are sequentially sealed as metal hydrides are employed. While hydrogens are moved from the MH3 to the MH2, the MH1 in one set and moved from the MH2, the MH1 to the MH3 in the other set, cooling for occluding the hydrogen of the MH1 of the one set is conducted by using cold generated by hydrogen dissociation from the MH3 of the other set. An operation for removing refrigerating cold to be generated by hydrogen dissociation from the MH1 of the other set is alternately repeated between the two sets thereby to continuously remove the cold.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
