PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To involve an electronic element, a biological function element, a high- refractive index body, a low-refractive index body or the like in a wire material according to the function of the wire material by a method, wherein the repeating of expansion and contraction and a folding-back of fibers formed using an organic material as their mother material, coating of a surface agent on the fibers, a pressure bonding of the fibers and a reexpansion and recontraction of the fibers are performed. ;SOLUTION: These functional fibers are integrated in a state in which an optical waveguide 61, a chemical transport tube 62, an organic semiconductor electronic device 63 and organic semiconductor diodes 64 are coated with an organic coating material 65 and are formed into a cylindrical form as a whole. The waveguide 61 is formed using PMMA, for example. These functional fibers are extended in their longitudinal directions and the functional fibers expanded and contracted in such a way are folded back in their centers to overlap each other and are pressure bonded. In order to hold satisfactorily this pressure bonding, it is preferable that the surfaces of the functional fibers be coated with a pressure bonding abutting agent. After these expansion and contraction, it is subjected to folding back and pressure bonding, and this continuous process is repeated for necessary number of cycles.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
