PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for restoring the growing power of a tree by increasing the water retention and drainage in the soil in the vicinity of the roots of the tree and maintaining good soil conditions for growing the tree.;SOLUTION: A water-permeable hollow pipe structure 2 having the outer wall made of porous concrete is buried in the vicinity of the roots of the tree 1 so that water is dispersed in the soil G at the part of the root part 1A of the tree, in the case where the soil G is dried, while the water is drained in the case where the moisture is excessive whereby the soil is maintained so that the plant and tree may grow well.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
