PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the power consumption of electric equipment with momentary reduced voltage operation guarantee. ;SOLUTION: When the rated voltage of a commercial AC power source is applied and a commercial AC power source has a voltage below a designed guarantee minimum AC source voltage, the voltage Vi1 of an electrolytic capacitor 21 is held above 5.3 V (= an operation guarantee minimum input voltage as to a 5V automatic voltage generator 24) only with the discharging current from a secondary coil 14 and a diode 30 is off. When the commercial AC power source drops almost to the designed guarantee minimum AC source voltage, the diode 30 turns on and the electrolytic capacitor 21 receives even the charging current from a 6 V automatic voltage generator 29, so that Vi1 is held above 5.3 V. While Vi1 is thus held above the operation guarantee minimum input voltage of the 5 V automatic voltage generator 24, it is held relatively small and the power consumption of the 5 V automatic voltage generator 24 is suppressed.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
