PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adjusting method capable of selecting a wavelength of a set wavelength band without adjusting an inclination of a wavelength selecting filter, and to manufacture a device capable of selecting the wavelength and capable of multiplexing the wavelengths in a reduced size, at low cost and in a short period compared with conventional one.;SOLUTION: A light source 9 for generating light, a light diffuser 2 for bringing the light into a diffused beam, an intereference filter 3 transmitting or reflecting the light of a selected wavelength band preliminarily set with respect to incident light of a specified incident angle to one face side to reflect or transmit light of other wavelength band, and a photodetector 4 for detecting the light are preparatively arranged. The light generated by the light sorce 9 is brought into the diffused beam by the diffuser 2 to get incident on the interference filter 3, and a wavelength of the light detected by the photodetector 4 out of the transmitted or reflected lights in the filter 3 is adjusted to a prescribed wavelength band by changing a position of the photodetector 4.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
