Mortality prevention method of trunk injection solubilization formulation and pines by its formulation

PURPOSE: To obtain a solubilized formulation for injection into a tree trunk, improved in migration properties of a medicine into the tree body and useful for preventing pines from dying by solubilizing a hardly water-soluble insecticide and/or germicide in water or a solvent miscible with the water and a specific nonionic surfactant. ;CONSTITUTION: This solubilized formulation for injection into a tree trunk is obtained by adding a solubilizing agent containing a nonionic surfactant having ≥12 HLB and water and/or a solvent miscible with the water to an insecticide and/or a germicide having ≤5g/l solubility in water and imparting the solubility thereto. Thereby, the migration properties of the medicine into the tree body is improved. Pines are prevented from dying by using the formulation. Organophosphorus-based insecticides, benzimidazole-based vermifuges, etc., are cited as the insecticide and polyhaloalkylthio- based, benzimidazole-based germicides, etc., are cited as the germicide. A polyoxyethylene castor oil, a polyoxyethylene hardened castor oil, etc., are cited as the nonionic surfactant.
