PURPOSE:To automate the pick-up of sticks of incense from a drying shelf plate by providing an absorbing drum on a supply conveyer for conveying the shelf plate on which the sticks of incense are line up. CONSTITUTION:A supply conveyer 3 is fed to a shelf plate 16 set on a loading bed 5 which is elevated by a cylinder 4, and is therefore the shelf plate 16 is conveyed rearward. Sticks 17 of incense lined upon on the shelf plate 16 are absorbed by an absorbing drum 11 which is arranged above the rear part of the supply conveyer 3 and which is rotated by a main belt 15, and are therefore turned upward by the absorbing drum 11. Further, they are shifted to the return side which being held by the driven press belt 19, and are then held between the belt of a discharge conveyer 20 and the return side of the main belt 15 for discharge. Accordingly, the sticks 17 of incense can be automatically piked up with no human labor.
