PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of performing reliable measurement by removing the effect of heat shimmer, even if it occurs on the optical axis of a laser beam, when the laser beam is used to measure displacement or inclination of a structure or to perform the positioning thereof. ;SOLUTION: A slip ring 3 and a semiconductor laser light source 2 are mounted on a rotating shaft of a motor 4. The light source 2 is rotated with the optical axis of the laser beam 8 used as its axis of rotation in a cycle shorter than the fluctuation cycle of the heat shimmer.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
