PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preventing the falling off and missing of a tightening ring and others when a customer removes a cap nut, at a product setting stage before inserting a connection pipe for a connection joint such as flexible pipe which is formed with the connection pipe inserted in a pipe insertion portion of a body being tightened to a pipe insertion core cylinder via a tightening ring with cap nuts, at a handling stage in transporting or packing products with the cap nuts temporarily threaded to the joint main body and at a using stage, and a falling off preventing pipe joint and a stopper ring corresponding thereto. ;SOLUTION: A cap nut 6 in which a fitting groove 61 for an elastic ring is formed at its inner-diameter end on a thread-in side is threaded until the fitting groove 61 passes through a male screw threaded portion 31 of a joint body and the ring is fitted at the same position from the side of the joint body through an opening of the elastic ring 5 having the breakable opening into the joint body 1.
