PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make preventable troubles such as separation of Au balls connecting signal transmission terminals on a magnetic head side and a supporting member side and the like, by forming the face of a magnetic head fixation part and its periphery into a recess shape with a magnetic head fixation face directed upward.;SOLUTION: The magnetic head supporting member 1b of the leading end part of the head supporting body is formed by bonding and fixing, or laminating a thin film conductor part 1a on a metallic material such as a SUS material or the like, and forming a face of a magnetic head fixation part 1c and its periphery into a recess shape. The recess shape is realized by applying a pressure by pressing or the like manner and plastically deforming the magnetic head fixation part 1c of the supporting member 1b and its peripheral part into the recess shape before or after the thin film conductor part 1a is fixedly bonded or laminated to the supporting member 1b. A magnetic head is secured to the magnetic head fixation part 1c and, a signal transmission terminal at the side of the magnetic head is connected to a signal transmission terminal set on the thin film conductor part 1a of the magnetic head-supporting member 1b by an Au ball.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
