The invention relates to an engine transmission system including two belts:a main one under load, the second emergency one unloaded taking over in theevent of the main belt breaking. The breaking of the main belt is detected bya detection device. The detection system includes a contact means made ofelectrically conductive material brought into contact with the wheel which isrotated by the emergency belt. A warning means, electrically connected to thecontact means, is triggered when a break occurs. Triggering occurs via anelectrical contact of the wheel which is rotated by the emergency belt withthe adjacent wheel.IMAGE
