Fruit juices and other drinks are frequently distributed in rectangular one liter boxes, known as Tetrapacks. A box (8) is placed in the base (5) of the jug (1). The handle assembly (10) is pivoted (4) over the box until it clips (6) into a catch. The closing action allows the rear end (3) of the spout (9) to pierce the front top edge of the box. An additional hole is made in the top of the box to allow air to enter when liquid is poured out.
