1. A method of preventing failures and/or consequences of failures of the reaction system for cyclohexane oxidation in the liquid phase with oxygen-rich gasses under pressure. It consists in emptying the reaction mixture from the reaction system by transferring the mixture to a dump tank or dump tanks. It is characterised in that the reaction mixture is drained from the reaction system to the bottom part of the liquid space of the dump tank or the first dump tank in a series of dump tanks, partially filled with water at the temperature of up to 20 degrees Celsius, containing 30-60 g of an alkaline compound in 1 dm3, as well as an anti-frothing agent. The amount of the reaction mixture does not exceed 1/3 part by volume per 1 part by volume of cold water.
