Acid entrapment procedure by developing a gelled system based on silica. Its objective is to gel different acids that are presented in liquid form or that are dissolved in polar and chemically inert liquid substances, generally water, by treatment, in a first phase of the process, with sodium silicate in solution. The second phase of the process consists in adjusting the acidity of the gel either by exchanging the acid included in it for a more concentrated one, or by partially replacing it with water or another polar solvent. This procedure is useful for the transport and handling of acids, among some of its applications.
