The invention is a combination of an altered AC to DC circuit utilized withtypical power protection components for improved power protection purposes. Moreparticularly, in accordance with the present invention there is provided a parallel circuitto protect electrical and electronic equipment from transients from an electrical system.The circuit comprises (a) first uni-directional diodes attached to line, neutral and/orground connection of the electrical system; (b) a DC capacitor with a positive pole beingfed by said first uni-directional diodes; (c) uni-directional diodes attached and feeding backto line, neutral and/or ground connection, and being fed from a negative pole of the DCcapacitor; and (d) a discharge resistor in parallel with said DC capacitor.
