A novel substance which is obtained by culturing a basidiomycete having a .beta.-glucosidase activity in a medium having a material containing isoflavones, comprises the aglycons of the isoflavones and the culture produ ct of the basidiomycete, and has synergistically enhanced physiological activit y of the aglycons of the isoflavones with physiological activity of the basidiomycete; and foods, feeds and drugs containing the same. Because of having the synergistically enhanced physiological activity of the aglycons o f the isoflavones and the physiological activity of the culture product of the basidiomycete, the above-described substance is useful not only as an antitumor agent but also as a remedy and/or preventive for osteoporosis and an immunopotentiating agent.
