The present invention pertains to the fields of geophysics, astronomy and astrophysics, and relates to methods for measuring gravitational fields as well as to the discovery of hidden masses or objects. The purpose of this invention is to record the locations and the relative positions in time and space of natural heavenly bodies such as the Moon, the Sun, etc. The method involves setting the moment when a change occurs in the condition of the gyroscope and, according to this time, determining the moment when the heavenly bodies rise or set, the apogee or perigee moments, the beginning of an eclipse or other natural phenomena.
