Method and device for determining green adhesion of rubber compounds

The green adhesiveness of rubber mixtures is determined using an arrangement of two sample holders (26), each incorporating a perforated plate (36), receiving a sample (40) of a rubber mixture. When the plate is placed on the sample and is tightened, a measuring face (42) with a convex curved surface can be produced. The sample holders are adjustable w.r.t. each other perpendicular to the measuring face in a compressive and tensile force measuring unit. A gauge is provide to measure the compression or tension fourth used to bring the measuring faces together or to separate them. Pref. a force-time graph is plotted.
