Outfall system of sea dike to improve the circulation in an estuary

PURPOSE: An estuary barrage fresh water discharge system is provided to directly supply fresh water containing much oxygen to a bottom layer and to activate vertical circulation at an estuary by ascending the fresh water to a top layer from the bottom. CONSTITUTION: A fresh water discharge hole(1) is installed in a position higher than that of a full tide line(5) to discharge surplus fresh water to the sea continuously without the operation of a sluice. The discharged fresh water is supplied to a bottom layer(2) to directly supply oxygen to the bottom layer or activate the circulation of the seawater by rising up to a top layer. Additionally, a subsidiary valve(3) is installed to prevent the backflow of the seawater due to rapid rising of the sea level.
