HANDOFF METHOD BETWEEN UPPER LEVEL-CELL AND LOWER-LEVEL CELL IN SUPERPOSED CELL STRUCTURE

PURPOSE: A handoff method between an upper-level cell and a lower-level cell in a superposed cell structure is provided to offer a handoff method to execute superposed cell service with the variation of frequency assignment in an identical frequency band and a recording media, capable of being read by computers, recording a program to realize the method. CONSTITUTION: A terminal in a traffic state receives a neighbor list update message through a traffic channel at a macro cell(701) and confirms the cell configuration information of a neighboring base station comprised in the message(702). In case that the cell is a superposed cell type, the terminal starts a timer counter(703) and searches the PN(Pseudo Noise) code of a micro cell for a given time(704). The terminal judges whether the PN code value of the searched micro cell is more than a T_ADD(705). If the PN code value of the searched micro cell is more than the T_ADD, the terminal executes a busy handoff using the micro cell(706). In case that the PN code value is not more than the T_ADD, the terminal confirms whether a timer counter value, a "T_Period" value, elapsed(707). If the T_Period value elapsed, the terminal continuously confirms the cell configuration information of the neighboring base station.
