LEAKAGE PREVENTION STRUCTURE FOR CONNECTION PART OF CORRUGATED PIPE

PURPOSE: A connecting structure for preventing water leakage is provided to simply and conveniently connect corrugated pipes. CONSTITUTION: A connecting gap(G) is formed in recessed portions(1b) of connecting ends of corrugated pipes(1) by contacting both ends of the corrugated pipes. Another connecting gap is formed by cutting protruded portions(1a) of the corrugated pipes. A raw rubber contact piece(2) is covered to the protruded portion gap, and then, a raw rubber belt(3) is wound along the recessed portion gap. The rubber belt is pressurized by a pair of semicircular connecting members(4) to seal the gaps. By making the entire height of the rubber belt higher than that of the protruded portions, a high sealing force is obtained. Since both ends of the rubber belt contacts to the top of the protruded portions, the upper area is enlarged and a pressurizing force of the connecting members is evenly applied to the rubber belt.
