The present invention provides a substance having a cytoprotective effect against cytotoxicity caused by anthrax toxin, which effectively inhibits the death of macrophages caused by anthrax toxin as an inhibitor of the activation of tyrosine kinases, which constitute the cellular signaling system. By reducing the disease, anthrax can be treated and prevented. As inhibitors of the activity of such tyrosine kinases, in particular, genistein and tyrofostine are preferable.
