Pitched house roof of trusses and attic beam has angled trusses pivoting off stacked flat-transport position into ridge abutment via hinge joints using modules of raftered trusses for easier handling.
First and second trusses (17,18) are hinged to the attic beam (19) and thus swing from a second position flat against the beam into a first position where the trusses abut at the ridge joint (9). The swivel joints (12,13) for the hinge movement of the trusses are at dissimilar spacing from the attic beam, with the second truss (18) hinged to the beam through a double joint (21) of a second and third joints (13,15), complete with strap link (20) at least as thick as the first truss (17). The first main hinge joint (12) is on the top of the beam (19) in contrast to the second main joint (13) which is spaced by beam (15) from the attic beam, using connecting beam (15) of the same thickness as the first truss (17). The pitched roof consists of two stackable modules of similar section to the roof and laid alongside over the roof length, the module in turn equipped with purlins (8) to lie on the outer walls of the house. The trusses include first and second rafters (5,6), each module to include first and second rafters in ridge abutment.
