The device (1) has at least one magnetic plate with a fixed frame. Staffs (12,12',12'') are either marked directly on the plate or on an additional surface (18) fixed relative to the plate. A number of magnetic note components (15) can be releasably secured on the staffs in desired locations. The additional surface is exchangable and can have parts of notes, notes, letters or reference marks marked on it.
