Determining deviation of thermodynamic state of steam relative to its saturation state involves detecting temp., pressure, determining superheated state, enthalpy using Mollier approach
The method involves extracting a defined or mechanically detectable or regulated mass flow of steam from the steam vol. under investigation, feeding it to a measurement chamber or measurement path, super-heating it by feeding in energy, detecting the temp. and pressure and determining the superheated state and enthalpy value using computerised comparison of the thermodynamic steam properties with tabular value according to Mollier. An Independent claim is also included for an arrangement for determining the deviation of the thermodynamic state of steam relative to its saturation state.
