A hand drill or screwdriver has at least one drill chuck that can be driven by a motor. A further driven chuck (6) for the screwdriver is located on a shaft that stands at a specified angle to the longitudinal axis of the bore shaft carrying the drill chuck. A changeover lever (7) serving at the same time as an on/off switch for the drive energy is provided for the decoupling of either the drill chuck or the mounting chuck from the drive motor (2). The angle between the longitudinal axis of the bore shaft and the shaft carrying the second chuck comes to between 60 and 120 degrees.
