A floor sensor is used to monitor forces acting upon the vehicle floor, e.g. as a result of the vehicle striking parts of a crashed vehicle or as a result of driving over potholes, kerbs or ramps at high speed, and in the event of an excessive shock force it will be activated, e.g. by a piezoelectric voltage, in order to block the activation of the front airbags by the panic braking sensor.
