Kink protection device has a curved cable reception profile (1) with a C-shaped or U-shaped cross-section, into which the optical fibre cable is fitted via the opening (2) along one side of the reception profile, for fitting between outer and inner walls (4,5) with a defined radius of curvature. The outer wall has at least one window (11) separated from the side opening via a band (12) which is bent inwards in the unstressed state of the kink protection device and which limits the curvature of the latter.
