The device has at least one wind deflector (14) that is adjustable in height between a rest position, in which upper side of the deflector does not protrude beyond the fixed roof surface (20), and deployed positions in which it does. The deflector has at least one first deployed position in which an air flow over the vehicle roof is guided exclusively over the upper side of the wind deflector and at least one second deployed position, in which the sir flow passes at least partly below the deflector.
