The method involves combining at least two reconstruction images by weighted addition, whereby each reconstruction image is weighted using a weighting function at least approximately describing the distribution of noise and/or artifacts in the image. The weighting function can be determined using simulation or measurement of a phantom object. Independent claims are also included for the following: an x-ray device, especially for implementing the method of combining reconstruction images.
