The system has two pressure sources (20,21) connected via two hydraulic connections (26,41,42;11,14) to a wheel brake (7-10) to apply pressure to the brake and a regulating valve (27,28) in the first hydraulic connection. The second hydraulic connection also passes via the regulating valve. The second pressure source is connected to the first hydraulic connection between the first pressure source and the regulating valve. An Independent claim is also included for a method of actuating brakes.
