Deuterium lamp with a long service life and improved heat radiating properties

An improved deuterium lamp (20) has a gas-filled envelope (21), a cathode (22), an anode (23), electrical lines (24), which penetrate through the sealed glass envelope, and, with the anode and cathode, respectively, are connected, a window shielding electrode (25), a cathodes shielding electrode (26), a focussing electrode (28) and a ceramic holder (29). The improvement consists in that the anode to a rear surface of the ceramic holding device is mounted, and is designed in such a way that nothing is present, which is much the radiation of heat in the reverse direction of the anode may impede.
