Controlling vehicle speed involves forming control parameter of at least one of drive slip and engine torque controllers depending on deviation between actual and demanded speed
The method involves specifying a demand speed and an actual speed for the vehicle, whereby a drive slip regulator and an engine traction torque regulator generate at least one control parameter for controlling an drive unit output parameter depending on the characteristics of at least one drive wheel. The control parameter of at least one of the controllers is formed depending on the deviation between the actual and the demanded speed. Independent claims are also included for the following: an arrangement for controlling the speed of a vehicle.
