A hygienic sachet, e.g. for cleaning the hands prior to eating, has outer and inner surfaces of two different plastic materials, the outer one (1) being impermeable and the inner one (2) treated to make it absorbent and impregnated with active hydrated or dehydrated products. It is sealed along three edges and folded along the fourth to allow it to be opened out to make a flat wipe or turned inside out so that it can be used as a glove.
