Inductive sensor of Rogowski belt type, in which the primary conductor (1), carrying the current to be measured, is surrounded by a secondary coil around a part of its length. The resulting current induced in the coil by the primary current is used as a measure of the primary current. The primary conductor is lodged in a holding sleeve (2, 3) of the secondary coil that incorporates a shielding support. The sleeve (2, 3) is comprised of two shell halves that interlock in each other and ensure that the primary conductor is correctly positioned.
