The conical roller bearing comprises outer (1) and inner (2) races with conical roller track surfaces (1a,2a). A number of conical rollers (3) are arranged between the roller track surfaces in a number of pockets of a cage (4) at regular circumferential intervals. The ratio of axial movement of the cage relative to the rollers to the length of the rollers does not exceed 5.2 x 10 -2 and the ratio of the radial movement of the cage relative to the rollers to the average diameter of the rollers does not exceed 2.1 x 10 -2.
