PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently spread underwater sludge without making water muddy, and efficiently suck the underwater sludge through a suction hose. ;SOLUTION: A dredging device of underwater sludge sedimented on the bottom of reservoir, river or the like sucks underwater sludge together with water by means of a conveying machine 1, and the sludge and water to be sucked are moved to a treatment machine 2 to separate sludge from water by the treatment machine 2. The sludge separated from water is treaded as wastes, or it is used for another purpose. The separated water is returned back to the reservoir or the river, or it is discharged to another place. The dredging device connects a blocking cylinder 6 to the suction end of the conveying machine 1. The blocking cylinder 6 formed in the shape of a cylinder has a downward opening and a closed circumference. A nozzle 10 for spreading the sludge inside of the blocking cylinder 6 by injecting high pressure water is provided to the inside of the blocking cylinder 6.
