PURPOSE: To shorten a forming time, to reduce production cost and to keep the uniformity of quality by converting a dividedly written character to a braille font by a conversion table to output the font to a photosensitive material according to layout data. CONSTITUTION: As a memory means 2, any commercial memory device having necessary memory capacity such as a magnetic disk or a photomagnetic disk can be used. A conversion table of a braille font and a dividedly written character-braille font is stored in the memory means 2. A CPU 1 is equipped with a means using the dividedly written character data and layout data inputted from an input means 3 to convert a dividedly written character to the braille font using the conversion table and a means outputting the converted braille font according to the layout data. As the output means 4, a commercial output machine can be used but a laser beam printer good in resolving power is pref.
