PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating a formalin waste liquid and an automatic treating device for a formalin waste liquid which can remove formaldehyde with high efficiency, which is excellent from the viewpoint of economy, workability and safeness, and which can be sufficiently used with a domestic power supply without requiring a large-size equipment.;SOLUTION: The method for treating a formalin waste liquid is carried out by adding caustic soda by 6 g to 15 g to 100 ml of the formalin liquid controlled to at 40°C to 80°C to decompose formaldehyde, neutralizing the liquid with sulfuric acid or the like and then discharging the treated liquid.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
