SEISMIC BASE ISOLATION BUILDING CONSTRUCTION OF EXISTING BUILDING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce labor and time required for placing flat slab and hence reducing execution costs without sacrificing the advantages in the conventional building construction.;SOLUTION: After the underground section of an existing building is excavated, a polarity of new piles 17 are pressed in the ground around an existing pile 5 by a jack 18 with the foundation 1 as a reaction support, then the flat slab 11 is placed at an excavated bottom C at the lower portion of the underground while the existing pile 5 and the new pile 17 are covered, an upper section 5a of the existing pile 5 is cut while supporting the foundation 1 with the new pile 17 as a support by the jack 18, a post 12 is constructed on a cut end section 5b of the existing pile 5, and further a seismic base isolation device 15 is interposed between the post 12 and the foundation 1. The new pile 17 and the existing pile 5 are used as a support for tentatively supporting an existing building and a support for supporting the existing building finally, respectively, so that the flat slab 11 may be allowed to have only a function as a beam for bearing lateral force for thinning.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
