PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a functional decoration material for a concrete structure body and the like which promotes recycling of waste material or lumber from thinning while degradation of a concrete structure body, which is a recent problem, is effectively prevented. SOLUTION: The functional decoration material comprises a wood chip with a remaining conduit, an alkali-adding agent, and a fixing material which allows discharge of alkali for hardening the wood chip. The wood chip is submerged in alkaliadding agent so that the conduit part absorbs the alkali-adding agent, after that the wood chip is kneaded with the fixing material.
